In today’s online shopping market, we believe that honesty is the best policy. That’s why we designed the most generous, fair and transparent store policy for our customers.                                           TERMS AND CONDITIONS                                           

This website is owned and operated by WIX / ReCreated by Crighton. These Terms set forth the terms and conditions under which you may use our website and services as offered by us. This website offers visitors rustic and / or bespoke products designed for the garden and home as well as information and stories in our blog. By accessing or using the website of our service, you approve that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.                              

                                In order to use our website and/or receive our services, you must be at least 18 years of age, or of the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, and possess the legal authority, right and freedom to enter into these Terms as a binding agreement. You are not allowed to use this website and/or receive services if doing so is prohibited in your country or under any law or regulation applicable to you.                      

When buying an item, you agree that: (i) you are responsible for reading the full item listing before making a commitment to buy it: (ii) you enter into a legally binding contract to purchase an item when you commit to buy an item and you complete the check-out payment process.

The prices we charge for using our services / for our products are listed on the website. We reserve the right to change our prices for products displayed at any time, and to correct pricing errors that may inadvertently occur. Additional information about pricing and sales tax can be obtained by contacting us prior to sale.

Our Products

We always market our products as “rustic” finish. The meaning and extremity of this can be viewed slightly differently from person to person therefore to explain slightly more – all of our products are made used treated timber which is also for use outdoors. It is “rough sawn” or “off the saw” meaning that it is similar to that of fence boards and we then give it a LIGHT sanding unless otherwise requested. Whilst we always try to ensure that there are no sharp splinters, we cannot be held responsible for any small pieces that have been missed in the process in human error. Screw holes /small knots/ small gaps from fallen knots/ slight sharp edges and variations in colour may occur within the product and this is all part of the character of each being unique and the style that we are marketing. Where we always strive to ensure each piece is smooth and safe as possible, we cannot be responsible for small sharp edges perhaps missed within the workmanship. Slight difference in character in the wood may sometimes occur depending on supplier and how strongly / recently the wood has been treated. If the wood has a “greenish” tinge this is due to the treatment in the wood having been completed more recently before we purchase from the supplier. The green tint does fade naturally overtime usually to a honey colour and then slightly greyer if left naturally. This wood CAN be treated / stained. Depending on personal preference, a further sand may be required prior to this or between coats however many previous customers have found this is not the case.  If you would like close up images of the wood in daylight, please contact us.

Wood is a natural product that responds to temperature and humidity variations by expanding and contracting. Sometimes these changes may be noticeable in the physical appearance of the product and slight gaps can appear over time, this is only natural.

Although every care is taken to ensure our products are able to handle temperature and humidity changes, the conditions of your home can affect the wooden products you buy from us. Your items can experience small movements and cracks as it adjusts - this is not a fault, but a natural occurrence within the fibres of a natural product.

We advise you to keep the product in consistent, stable conditions to minimise the impact of temperature and moisture change in the atmosphere. For example, avoiding placing the product close to a heat sources such as a radiator or oven will go a long way to ensuring the longevity of the product. If you intend to keep the product outdoors and exposed to the elements, we recommend using a breathable woven tarpaulin cover, (breathable to minimise the wood “sweating” in heat.) Treating / maintaining treatment of the wood for outdoors with treatment designed for outdoor timber products is also recommended to ensure longevity of the product. There are various oils, stains and wood treatments designed for this in most DIY stores.

In wetter periods, it is possible that the wood may arrive damp this is since the timber merchants generally keep timber outside as most reputable merchants do. Depending on how recently we have had a delivery, it is sometimes possible that the wood can seem wet/damp to touch at times. This can remain the case until fully air dried. Whilst we try our best to minimise this, now and again due to the turnaround time from deliveries and building and sending products, it may still be damp. This will cause no issue to the wood itself and we recommend simply air drying or using a low heat within a room/ outdoor building to gently dry rather than blasting it dry quickly as this is more likely to cause any issues with the rapid change. Please note that if this is the case, it is recommended not to place on a carpet or any flooring that may be affected due to the wood still being damp.

All wooden products are produced using timber that is treated to reasonably protect against issues such as insects and rot, but the risk of these issues these cannot be removed entirely. If any issues are found to exist on your products, we recommend treating the affected areas with suitable repellent chemicals to help minimise the risk of any further issues. Having taken all reasonable steps to avoid this such issues, we cannot be held liable for any related damage caused.

With a huge number of different species of tree in the world, it can therefore be difficult to 100% assert the type of wood used in any of our products. We therefore cannot guarantee the species of any of the wood products we sell other than treated “white wood”. We always ensure that the timber we use is FSC certified as much as we possibly can. The only time this may not be the case is in a shortage of supplies and the only timber possible at the time may not be in order to fulfil orders.

Bars – Our bars are naturally top heavy due to the overhang and design and although stable on the ground, we recommend that if you have any concerns regarding small children or accidents occurring during use, anchoring the base to the floor or side to the wall is recommended. We do not provide fixtures for this as standard but can provide brackets if required, please contact us to arrange.

Bespoke Items:

We are happy to undertake work which may include bespoke or unusual design or sizing from our 'standard' products. Please be aware that such commissions are made on the agreement that they cannot be returned to us. We can send photos of completed bespoke items to you before sending for a final approval from you however this must be requested in advance.

You agree to take responsibility that you have checked that you have suitable access into your property / the desired space for any products you order from us, as items cannot be returned for access reasons due to items not fitting.

Where sizes are specified by the customer, these are assumed to be the total dimensions to be made, which will include any fixtures or fittings which are to be added to any product or design (unless specified otherwise by customer). Items may vary VERY slightly from time to time due to the organic building process and one-off design. This means that a few centimetres leeway over/under is accepted so please let us know if any space is extremely tight for access or placing the product. We of course aim to always be precise as possible.

With bespoke items, the design is a “one off” and therefore not “tried and tested”. If for example a table is made at measurements stated by you and is slightly more “off balance” due to these sizes, we cannot be held responsible for this if it was made to measurements that you have provided.

​We reserve the right in all instances (bespoke or otherwise) to cancel an order at our discretion before items have been sent. A full refund will be sent in such circumstances.


Delivery times are provided as a GUIDE ONLY and not to be seen as exact. This can sometimes vary due to supplier issues / volume of orders or any extenuating circumstances within our small business. We will always strive to let you know with as much notice as possible if there is to be a delay. During quieter times, it’s possible that we can deliver in much shorter timescales, we will therefore be in touch if this is the case also.

Our smaller items will usually be delivered via Parcelforce and usually require a signature on delivery (due to the current Covid regulations, this is not always the case), however this can change in time if we change courier or can deliver ourselves if local etc. This generally takes 2-3 days from collection from us although can sometimes take longer if over the weekend / bank holidays or delays occur within the courier network, we cannot be held responsible for any delay due to this and will do all we can in the event of delayed items to contact and chase the whereabouts and/or time estimated for delivery.

Large items will be delivered on a pallet using a pallet network who use a variety of hauliers nationally. Delivery in this way is generally Mon-Fri only covered by the free delivery option. (If a Saturday delivery is required, this can be arranged for an additional £65 flat rate. Please contact us to arrange if this is the case. )Items on a pallet will be delivered in bubble and/or shrink wrap and via   a lorry/ truck. Please let us know if there are any access issues to your property for this reason or the property is not on level ground i.e. steep hill etc.

Delivery in this way will be “kerbside” only meaning that the courier is only required to deliver the pallet to the front of your property. Due to items being very large and fully assembled (unless otherwise stated or arranged) ,they are also very bulky and heavy meaning that you must ensure there are people (most likely 2 strong people or more depending on person/s) with able strength available to assist with moving the item to where you require it. (Some drivers are more helpful that others however, they are only required to do this minimum described therefore we always like to ensure that this advice is offered in preparation) .

Delivery is usually within 24 hours of collection from us with this method as we use a “premium” service, however again, due to any delays in the network we cannot be held accountable for any delays or hold ups that occur during the delivery process due to the courier. Now and again they can experience delays for various reasons and where possible, the item will be delivered the following working day. We do not get given a time slot for delivery however we will provide tracking details for you whenever possible which you can use to track the item live in transit. They usually update their system with a 2 hour ETA window on the day of delivery. You can also use these to refer to should you need to contact the courier in the case of any changes / delays or queries etc. related to shipping once the item has been dispatched.

Please ensure that you provide a contact telephone number with your order which we can pass on to the courier to contact you if required regarding delivery.

We ask that you check over your order on delivery and unwrap the item before the driver leaves wherever possible to note any obvious issues such as damages or missing items on the delivery note to allow a claim to be made for this. Claims can only be made if noted on the courier delivery note for this reason.


For any undamaged product that you are unsatisfied with, simply contact us to arrange a return with its included accessories and packaging along with the original receipt (or gift receipt)if appropriate, within 14 days of the date you receive the product, and we will exchange it or offer a refund based upon the original payment method. FOR ANY ITEMS THAT ARRIVED ON A PALLET / LARGE ITEMS THAT ARE NOT DAMAGED A COLLECTION FEE WILL BE CHARGED – THIS FEE IS £50 PER PALLET. You will be sent an invoice to cover this cost prior to collection OR the amount can be deducted from the total amount to be refunded.

Damaged Products/ Missing Items – please ensure that you take a photograph and note this on the delivery note when the pallet /package is delivered for larger items. This could mean unwrapping the product from the packaging to check it over on delivery before signing the delivery note. The driver is required to wait up to a maximum of 15 minutes for this to be done. Refunds / Exchanges for damaged products can only be processed if it can be shown that the product was damaged on receipt. The courier will therefore have this note on their system which we can use as proof and if there is any obvious damage to the packaging on delivery – please ensure this is also photographed. Please contact us ASAP after delivery to inform us of these damages as well as sending us any proof that you have – this allows us also to make a claim with the courier if applicable. We will then arrange with you if you would prefer a refund or an exchange or replacement parts sent.

In the event of an exchange, it can take up to 21 days to exchange the product due to the fact that our items are all handmade to order. We of course, will always strive to have this complete sooner and aim to wherever possible within 7-10 days to allow us time to build a replacement and arrange collection and delivery.

If a refund is preferred, we will arrange this within 14 days from the date we are made aware by you. Notice MUST be given to us within 14 days of receipt of your product. A refund can only be offered if the product is returned to us in the same state that it arrived to you (even if damaged)  Please note, we cannot offer refunds without the return of the product meaning that the collection procedure is required. Please see information below regarding collections.

Replacement parts – If your order is missing a part or an “extra” that you had added to your order i.e.. an ice bucket on a bar , or set of LEDs etc. or if there is a small part of the product which has minimal damage, please contact us ASAP after delivery. AGAIN, WHEREVER POSSIBLE – PLEASE NOTE THIS ON THE DELIVERY NOTE FOR LARGE ITEMS and photograph where possible. If you would be happy for us to send replacement parts – please contact us ASAP. This can often be simplest way to fix any minor issues and avoid the inconvenience to you of arranging a collection and re-delivery etc. We can send replacement small parts generally through Parcelforce (Depending on the item) and arrange for a signature on delivery. Where the replacement part is of part of the structure of the product i.e. a spar of wood on a bar, we will send necessary “bits” and / or screws required to take off the damaged part and replace with the new one. We do not take responsibility for any workmanship or damage or injury to the product and /or person/s involved should you wish to choose this option and complete the work yourself or by someone you know/ hire. You therefore choose to take on this responsibility by choosing this option and should ensure that the person arranged to complete any such work is knowledgeable /skilled to do so. We may require measurements to be sent for pieces of wood or small parts due to everything being handmade and unique. Although we use standard sizing for our “main” products, very slight differences can occur along with differences in thickness of the wood. Although every care is given to represent the measurements provided in this case, some slight alternations may be required due to how accurate the given measurements were.


The collection method will be the same as the delivery method for large items – i.e. goods  will be collected on a pallet via a pallet network in a similar way to it was delivered to you. This means that to return the item, it MUST BE SECURED ONTO A PALLET without overhanging the edges of the pallet, in a similar way to it was received AND without any damage to the product (apart from any damages that have already been reported if it was damaged on delivery). It MUST also be protected with either original packaging if possible or something similar wherever possible in order to prevent damages in transit. Collection will be arranged with you on the most convenient day where possible – please note collection and deliveries are weekdays ONLY unless a £65 premium is paid to arrange a Saturday collection/delivery. This is the courier’s flat charge and operating hours, we in no way profit from this transaction. When a collection is requested, we cannot GUARANTEE the date, only request it with the courier service and therefore cannot be held responsible for any delays or inconvenience such as wasted time off work, however the majority are on time. We also do NOT get given a timeslot for the collection, it could therefore be any time between 7am – 7pm generally on the day requested. The item must therefore be ready for collection and either in place for the courier to collect or ready to be taken out to the courier on arrival. The courier will not enter your property or assist with lifting the item in general. They will collect as a “kerbside” service and will use the tools they have in order to load the pallet only if it is deemed as secure enough to do so.

When we receive a valid warranty claim for a product purchased from us, we will either repair the relevant defect or replace the product. If we are unable to repair or replace the product within a reasonable time, the customer will be entitled to a full refund upon the prompt return of the product to us. We will pay for shipment of repaired or replaced products to customer and customer will be responsible for return shipment of the product to us.

In addition, please note the following: (i) Products can be returned only in the country in which they were originally purchased;

We may, without prior notice, change the services; stop providing the services or any features of the services we offer; or create limits for the services. We may permanently or temporarily terminate or suspend access to the services without notice and liability for any reason, or for no reason.

Ownership of intellectual property, copyrights and logos

The Service and all materials therein or transferred thereby, including, without limitation, software, images, text, graphics, logos, patents, trademarks, service marks, copyrights, photographs, audio, videos, music and all Intellectual Property Rights related thereto, are the exclusive property of ReCreated by Crighton Except as explicitly provided herein, nothing in these Terms shall be deemed to create a license in or under any such Intellectual Property Rights, and you agree not to sell, license, rent, modify, distribute, copy, reproduce, transmit, publicly display, publicly perform, publish, adapt, edit or create derivative works thereof.

You recognize and agree that by uploading any content or sending your own images/photographs to us (including, but not limited to personal setup/arrangement ,designs, images, animations, videos, audio files, fonts, logos, illustrations, compositions, artworks, interfaces, text and literary works) through any means to the website, you confirm that you own all the relevant rights or received the appropriate license to upload/transfer/send the content. You agree and consent that the uploaded/transferred content may be publicly displayed at the website and / or used for further promotional marketing such as on social media pages or other forms of marketing,

Right to suspend

We may permanently or temporarily terminate or suspend your access to the service without notice and liability for any reason, including if in our sole determination you violate any provision of these Terms or any applicable law or regulations. You may discontinue use and request to cancel your account and/or any services at any time. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the foregoing, with respect to automatically-renewed subscriptions to paid services, such subscriptions will be discontinued only upon the expiration of the respective period for which you have already made payment


You agree to indemnify and hold ReCreated by Crighton and all staff members harmless from any demands, loss, liability, claims or expenses (including attorneys’ fees), made against them by any third party due to, or arising out of, or in connection with your use of the website or any of the services or products offered on the website.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall ReCreated by Crighton or any staff or board members], be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, including without limitation, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to the use of, or inability to use, the service.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ReCreated by Crighton assumes no liability or responsibility for any (i) errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies of content; (ii) personal injury or property damage, of any nature whatsoever, resulting from your access to or use of our service or products; and (iii) any unauthorized access to or use of our secure servers and/or any and all personal information stored therein.

Right to change and modify Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms from time to time at our sole discretion. Therefore, you should review these page periodically. When we change the Terms in a material manner, we will notify you that material changes have been made to the Terms. Your continued use of the Website or our service after any such change constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to any of these terms or any future version of the Terms, do not use or access (or continue to access) the website or the service

Promotional emails and content

You agree to receive from time to time promotional messages and materials from us, by mail, email or any other contact form you may provide us with (including your phone number for calls or text messages). If you don't want to receive such promotional materials or notices – please just notify us at any time
