Handcrafted Wooden Storage Bench AND Table SET
 
This corner bench and table is made from new tanalised pre-treated timber suitable for both indoors and outdoors. The wood being tanalised means that it has a treatment within it that prevents rot, fungus etc. and protects against the elements as it designed to be used for other things such as fencing etc. too. There may be a slight "tinge" to the wood when you first receive it as some wood seems to show the colour of the treatment more than others. This will settle and fade over time to become a more neutral and mellow colour, 
Please note that in the wetter months of the year, there is a possibility that the wood may be slightly damp to touch on delivery. This is down to the supplier storing wood outdoors in the timber yard and sometimes it can take a while to fully dry out in our cold workshop! Especially if we have recently had a delivery. We always try to minimise this where possible, but sometimes, due to limited amount of space and supplies at once,  unfortunately it cannot be helped unless we delay delivery by a longer period. Bench orientation can be either way with short side to the Left or Right - please note this when ordering or send us a message.

All optional widths of the benches are EXTERNAL meaurements of the product meaning they are at the largest/longest point. ie. the width of the backs of the benches. 
 
The bench will come with Storage option meaning that the seats will be hinged to lift the seated area up to store items underneatht the seats and out of sight. Hinges are on top of the bench and so in view but will be easily covered by cushions.  If you'd prefer "lift off" storage , with NO hinges, please let us know. 
 
TABLE DESIGNS CAN BE ALTERED. PLEASE CONTACT US FOR MORE INFO.

There are options for the Bench to be Lined or UNLINED along the bac. If UNLINED - the framing is exposed and under seats are "open" at the back as this is designed to be against a wall indoors. This keeps costs and weight of the items down. Please choose the LINED option if you would like this fully slatted all along the backs of the bench and therefore there would be no open space at the back of the seats.

Bench  is delivered in 2 pieces designed to be very simple to fix to join together (video can be sent after ordering if required). 
Table will be sent in 2 parts for transportation (top off) again designed for very simple fixing with only a few screws required to be tightened once in place. 
 
Despite the pre-treatment within the wood, we recommend that if keeping outdoors, treatment is required to maintain quality through time just as you would with any outdoor wooden furniture or building etc.  In adverse conditions or prolonged periods, a breathable cover is also advised. 
The bench and table will maintain a slight rustic effect , and although sanded, will not have a "Factory smooth finish". This is part of the character of our projects. We therefore do not compare this to something that you would buy from a large chain retailer for example. We always aim for quality build and our products are solid and heavy whilst maintaining a slight rustic look. Screw holes and 'fluffy' edges in patches are the norm for this style and type of wood and build. 
 
Delivery method will be on a pallet via a third party courier. We do not deliver ourselves. Therefore delivery will be "kerbside" as standard meaning that generally 2 people "at your end" will be required to move/ strip the items from the pallet to where you'd like it go, bearing in mind that these items are large and heavy. Any assembly mentioned such as affixing the two pieces of bench to make the corner, or the table top on to the base, will therefore be required also and is not provided within the cost. (We can provide photos / potentially video clips to show this as we design these items so that this can be easily done). Delivery is Mon-Friday only unless a premium is paid for a Saturday delivery.
